Since 2019 I have worked on my own with private clients' machines: I diagnose hardware and software faults, optimize systems and give advice. It is the most hands-on work of my career, done at the workbench.
Hardware & Software Diagnostics
Diagnosed hardware and software faults on private clients' machines.
Optimization & Performance
System optimization and performance tuning so each machine responds better in everyday use.
Bench Work
Hands-on bench work with laptops, desktop PCs, motherboards, hard drives, graphics cards and mechanical keyboards: disassembly, cleaning and component inspection.
Technical Advisory
Technical advice for private clients on the condition and needs of their machines.

Technical Troubleshooting
My first job with a formal contract. In just over a year I worked across every layer of the company: I brought abandoned hardware back to life, took charge of the network, replaced the file server without interrupting anyone's work and ended up running the website.
- Giving hardware a second life
The first challenge showed up on day one, while I was touring the plant: a pile of equipment abandoned after a supermarket closed down, from peripherals to server hardware.
- The whole company's network
Next I was given full access to the main rack, where all of the company's wired connections start. I was in charge of keeping the network under control and of day-to-day support: IP addressing for computers, printers and cameras.
- Replacing the server without anyone noticing
The file server was an old, neglected Windows 7 PC working as a NAS. I pushed to replace it and, before touching anything, studied what a NAS is, which components it needs and what to watch out for. The goal: swap the hardware without anyone having to stop working.
- The website, rebuilt
To close out my time there I took over the website. Hosting, WordPress and email were all in place, but completely abandoned. I was handed the accounts and trusted to run the site end to end on my own decisions.
